If you would like to join the club come along to one of our weekly meetings or sign up below! Keep your eyes peeled for our weekly newsletters outlining the weekend tramps and don’t forget to follow our Facebook and Insta to stay up to date and to see all our epic misadventures!
What we do
We’ve been out and about since the 1930s, helping and encouraging people to get out into the hills. Now as the LARGEST sports club on campus we are doing better than ever!
So whether you’re into tramping, mountaineering, conservation, trail running, partying in the bush (or all of the above), CUTC is the club for you. With trips heading out every weekend, what could be better! Here’s what we do!
Why join CUTC?
Tramping!!! We go tramping, lots. If you like tramping, want to get involved with a community of folks who know where all the coolest places to go, and know many of the tricks to thriving in our backcountry, then good news! This club is for you! Not convinced? Continue reading here!
We meet weekly during term time. Wednesday 6:30pm, Beatrice Tinsley 111 (here). Come along to see what we get up to, find out about the upcoming trips or to join the club!
2021 Photo Competition
Alrighty, it’s time to dust off your camera and get snapping, it’s the 2021 CUTC Photo Competition! We know you all take photos every so often, I mean come on, who doesn’t? This is your chance to show off your mad photography skills, or lack thereof, and get other people inspired about the outdoors. There’ll be 8 different categories to enter. There’ll be spot prizes, and real prizes. Some of those prizes may include goon. Wowwee I’m excited.
Aaaaandddd the winning photos in each category will be submitted to the FMC (Federated Mountain Clubs, who CUTC is affiliated with) Photo Competition for 2021! That nationwide competition is judged by a panel of award-winning photographers and has some epic prizes including tents, packs, jackets and a bunch more.
Entries close 1st September! Check out this page for more info on categories, how to enter and the meaning of life. Woooohoooo!!
There’s nothing we love more than a good Trog. Trog stands for Trip Log, a story about your tramping club trip adventure! We collect these up over the year and put them into a book which is printed and given out at the end of the year. They are a good way to reminisce about your adventures, get some inspiration for future trips and are also a great source of club history! Want to write a Trog? Find out how here.
