Making a payment
If you need to make a payment to the club for membership or trip costs, do one of the following:
- See the treasurers during a meeting
One or both of the treasurers are generally available on Wednesday nights as part of the club meeting (term time only). We don’t have EFTPOS so you will need to bring cash.
- Internet banking into the club account
The club’s account number is 01 0819 0257568 00.
This option is only available for NZ bank accounts – we can’t accept international bank transfers. Please use your name and what it is for as a reference (e.g. John Smith, Membership)
- Manual payment at any branch of the ANZ
You can deposit money at any branch of the ANZ over the counter. You’ll need the club’s bank account number (above). Please use your name and what it is for as a reference (e.g. John Smith, Membership).
The nearest ANZ to the University of Canterbury is located on Riccarton Road, near the Bush Inn shopping centre.

Refunds are at the discretion of the committee and are not guaranteed. Having people pull out of a trip at the last minute causes a lot of extra work for the organisers, and often ends up costing the club money as we book vans based on the number of people who have paid. Also, trips are often over-subscribed and we don’t like to turn people away and then end up with empty seats and empty beds.
The cut-off is 4pm Thursday. If we have not heard from you by then, we will assume that you are still coming, and will book huts/vans accordingly. The club keeps a record of who bails from trips, so repeated last-minute cancellations may result in other club members being given preferential treatment on trips with limited numbers.
If you need to pull out of a trip, please contact the trip organiser directly.
