One fine sunny day in May, six intrepid CUTC members went off to delicately place eggs in wooden boxes and throw dead animals through the forest.
Traps checked: 73
Kills noted: 1 hedgehog (in trap #1)
Wildlife seen: Pīwakawaka, kakaruwai and korimako.
Eggs accidentally broken: Numerous
Conclusion: It was a relaxing day wandering through forests and across river flats, and we got to help out NZ’s native birds in the process.
